CEOs driving long-term value creation

Welcome back to The Stock Scoop - a community of investors who value smart insights, exclusive CEO interviews, and ideas that sharpen our edge in the market.
Famed investor Warren Buffett once said, “The stock market is a device for transferring money from the impatient to the patient.” As I’m not a naturally patient person, I always appreciate meeting and interviewing those who are.
Building wealth the Warren Buffett way
Teaminvest Private Group (ASX:TIP), known as TIP Group, is a long-time advocate of disciplined, patient investing. Through this approach TIP is redefining how investors approach small caps. Not as speculative punts, but as drivers of long-term value creation.
I asked TIP Group’s CEO Andrew Coleman about this investment philosophy, centred on a systematic approach blending fundamentals, valuation and risk assessment. TIP uncovers long-term wealth-building opportunities through these six core principles:
📈 Compounding
🚫 Avoiding dogs
⚖️ Stability
🛡️ Margin of safety
🔇 Removing the noise
🧠 Wisdom of the crowd
Bringing together architects of financial success
Next week, investors will have an in-person opportunity to experience a unique line up of ASX CEO leaders aligned with TIP’s investment philosophy. As media partners, we’re pleased to support TIP Group’s Emerging Wealth Winners conference.
📅 Tuesday 21 October 2025
📍 Members Dining Room, Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG)
⏰ 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM | Including morning tea, lunch & networking drinks
From my perspective, curated investment conferences like TIP’s are invaluable. They bring investors face-to-face with the people and ideas driving genuine growth, far beyond what any report or online summary can capture.
By being in the room, investors will gain an opportunity to witness conviction, strategy, and discipline in action, an experience that can fundamentally reshape how they think about quality companies and long-term wealth creation.

While markets are always moving fast, real wealth builds slowly. A helpful reminder that the stock market rewards patience, not predictions.
To your investing,

Your preview insights from TIP’s Wealth Winners
Among the 2,000 companies listed on the ASX, fewer than 25 earn TIP Group’s recognition as ‘Wealth Winners’ at any given time. The businesses presenting at next week’s conference offer a unique window into TIP Group’s market-beating investment philosophy. From my own interviews with several of these companies, what stood out most was their ability to balance discipline and growth, a hallmark of enduring success.
Fiducian Group (ASX:FID) and The Australian Wealth Advisors Group (ASX:WAG) showcase how diversified financial services providers can achieve both scale and consistency, even in uncertain markets.
Credit Corp Group (ASX: CCP) has evolved into Australia’s largest provider of financial services in the credit impaired consumer segment, and Solvar Limited (ASX: SVR) has become a leading non-bank provider of automotive and personal finance solutions across Australia and New Zealand.
Elsewhere, Kina Securities (ASX:KSL) has grown into a dynamic force in Papua New Guinea’s banking sector since its founding in 1985, helping to build the nation while providing financial opportunity for the local population.
Mining services provider Mader Group (ASX:MAD) has seen its share price soar by more than 800 per cent in five years as demand for its plant equipment maintenance and support gained traction across the world’s major mining regions.
TIP’s event will also feature private investment fund Magnetic Alliance Capital, providing input on proven strategies for businesses to drive profits and achieve consistent growth.
In addition, private fintech company Sharesight will showcase its cutting-edge platform for portfolio tracking and tax reporting.
TIP’s conference will also host a Defence Industry Panel discussion over lunch, titled ‘Navigating Investment Strategies in Global Geopolitics and Defence’. Panellists include Major General (Ret’d) Fergus McLachlan, a 37-year Australian army veteran, and Mandy Ross, Director of Strategic Partnerships Defence and National Security at Monash University. Representatives from Leonardo, one of Europe’s largest defence contractors, will also participate in this discussion.
